Hello second year of entrepreneurship!
As I look out on the perfect blue southern summer skies I am scratching my head of how it’s June already? Half of 2017 is over….crazy…
This time last year I was just starting this blog. And now? Well, now I’ve been lucky enough to share my stories with you every week – 52 total… and my prints have hopefully found a new home on your walls and inspire you – just a little bit – each day.
Home is….
I was thinking long and hard about what I wanted to share this week. And I finally settled on this. “You are home”. There is a two-fold meaning in this one. One of course the obvious. You are HOME … put this up near your door and let the comforts of home take you over. Let the stress of work and responsibility fall off your shoulders and snuggle up with a nice cup of tea in a place that makes you feel safe. You don’t have to pretend here, no makeup and fancy clothes required.
The second meaning – and the one how I read this – Is “YOU are home”. Sometimes life gets in the way, you move around or some circumstance takes your safe place from you. But no matter where life takes me, I know that I am safe, because I have my “HOME” with me. My home has even grown over the years….from one heart to 3. I found my home in a person and don’t ever want to take for granted how that makes me feel – safe and loved.
