Hello new week – Hello new Printable from Charming Chestnuts.
This week I want to focus on an important aspect of this crazy journey to fulfilling my creative lifestyle dreams. While in many things my perfectionist personality traits take over I want to also make sure I take a step back and enjoy the ride.
Work in progress
My business is a work in progress, my family is a work in progress, but most importantly, I am a work in progress. I want to make sure I not only remind myself of this, but also appreciate it. There is so much I still want to achieve. So many things I want to learn to do better. And while I’m mainly thinking of a business sense here – hello blogging goals, Instagram challenges and e-courses and maybe even e-books in my professional future, I also want to make more conscious decisions to do better in a personal sense.
I had a very sobering moment this week where I forgot something very important to me on a personal level. I got caught up in everything I was doing, in the ear infection that was sadly still bothering Chestnut #1, the Etsy and design work that had piled up and a million other things I had on my to do list and it simply slipped my mind on the day – I felt awful and I’m so sorry. Luckily I seem to have graciously been forgiven already. But I’m determined to learn from this. I want to make sure I work on myself and in the hustle of it all not forget the things that are really important. Like I said, I’m a work in progress.

But there are other works in progress happening in Chestnut-land that are indeed very exciting. At the moment I’m so excited to be working on a new logo for a client. The elegant/feminine #girlboss theme she has requested is right up my alley and I can’t wait to see what the final product will work out to be. Here’s a little sneak peek at my creative board/work in progress screen.
