Here’s a little secret you might not have known about me: I have wanted to work in the wedding industry for a very long time. From my early corporate design days I always thought my dream small business would be creating wedding stationery. And while there was a crazy year in between where I actually toyed with the idea of a cake business (crazy, right?), that dream lived in the back of my mind for years. Now, as you all know, Charming Chestnuts is finally giving life to that dream and I feel so lucky to be living it every day.

Well, deep down I’m a tragic romantic at heart. And not just for the pretty flowers, the dress, the perfect venue, the invitations with matching programs, place cards, menus, welcome signs, guestbooks, seating charts, table numbers, thank you cards…. (sorry, getting a bit carried away there)…No, it’s actually the idea that has the most draw for me. It’s the idea, that there are two people in the sea of over 7 billion people who have found each other, that recognized a kindred heart and are promising to be with each other for the rest of their lives.
I know this might sound extremely cheesy, but that for me is why weddings are so special. This is why I want to be a part of an industry that helps celebrate those moments. And let’s face it, there is a lot of bad design out there. If I can save even one bride from an outdated Word template then my job is so worth it.
