Can you believe it? This is officially the last post of the first year of Charming Chestnuts! WOW! I can’t believe how much has happened for me, my family and my business in 2016. I also have so many ideas and dreams for where I want my business to go in 2017, it makes my skin tingle. And I do believe that the future belongs to those who dream 😉
So I wanted to take this opportunity to take stock of my year-end numbers, to fully appreciate how far Charming Chestnuts has come and to take aim at what there is to conquer and achieve in 2017.
Obviously keeping in mind, that one year ago, Charming Chestnuts was nothing more than a neglected dream in the back of my mind, I’m so proud to share this with you:
- ETSY Stats:
So I’m a little excited about these numbers. This means, that since the end of April 26,500 times my items have been viewed and 1,464 times they got liked enough for people to add them to their favorites. 272 people ordered and 72(!) were impressed enough to leave me a 5-star review….Say WHAT??? That just amazes me. And while I’ve always liked my jobs in corporate design, getting this personal feedback, for my own designs (not depending on any corporate style guides) just gives me the tingles and warm and fuzzy feelings…I love my little shop!
- INSTAGRAM:
Another account that started with my shop this year and that I’ve painstakingly grown organically over this year. 300 genuine people, creatives, soon-to-be-brides and everyday instagram users are following along with this Chestnuts journey. I love all of the comments and likes I get on these posts for new products, posts. Not surprisingly, Instagram has quickly become my favorite social media channel. - PINTEREST:
This one is clearly still on my “need-to-improve-in-2017” list. But I can’t wait to spend some more time on this amazing platform. 70 of you are already following along and I’ve also started contributing to some awesome group boards. If you haven’t tried it, I urge you to give it a go. Be warned though, you might not be the first to lose several hours to “pinning” for all of the great DIY, wedding planning and other ideas you can find there.
- NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIBERS:
I just wanted to take a moment here to say thank you to each of my subscribers! In the age of so many email newsletters and sign ups around, I feel truly grateful that you chose to not only read my posts, but allow me into your inbox every week! I have big plans for 2017 so stay tuned, subscribed and as awesome as you are! THANK YOU!
Now there is obviously still so much room to grow on all of these numbers (I’m looking at you email list), but that’s still so much better than where I was a year ago…the only way is up.
None of this would have been possible without the support of my husband, who has been there for my ups and downs (let’s face it, there was a time in October/November that just wasn’t pretty business wise) and has supported me in this journey to finding my passion. Love you!
Now I hope you’re all super excited for 2017, because I can’t wait to share all of my new ideas with you, create some awesome new designs and products and just be part of your inbox every week.
So in the spirit of looking forward to the possibilities of a new year and the dreams it holds, here is your last printable (# 29!!!!) for 2016 – I hope you like it!
