My favorite book
I love good books. I love the vivid detail that forms in my mind when an author has done their job well and crafted not only a story but a whole new world. And I’ve yet to find a movie that has done justice to a book when I’ve loved the book first.
The thing that gets me is a bad book. See, I’m no quitter. So when I start a book, I will finish it… getting me to start it is the hard part. I’ve shared this before and I’ll share it again… I am a perpetual re-reader. If I find a book or especially a series, that I love, I’d much rather re-read it – kind of like visiting an old friend, than start a book that I might not enjoy and then have to finish it…

With all that being said, apart from Harry Potter, my all-time favorite story is the one of Tatiana and Alexander in “the bronze Horseman” by Paullina Simons. Their epic love story through the throes of multiple wars and countries has fascinated me from the first time I picked up the book. I’ve probably read the whole trilogy 5 times by now…It’s THAT good.
So it’s clearly high time that I share a quote from this piece of my heart with all of you.
… And in the middle of my chaos there was you…
Taking it back
Nearing on 14 years ago now, I was this young girl, having just left home – to the other side of the world – to “learn something” and figure out what exactly I wanted to do with my life. German, American or Puerto Rican – structured or artistic – Woman of the world or insecure little girl… I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted to be. And then, right there in the middle of an ordinary supermarket in the chaos that were my thoughts and my life there he was… (future hubby alert) and the rest, so they say, is history…
Inexplicably our paths crossed that day and my life has taken on new meaning and a new direction ever since. And even today, 14 years later – with plenty of chaos to go around, decisions and heartaches appearing everyday, my life makes sense when we’re together. No, it’s not always easy, but the chaos fades to the background. Love you babe…

I truly hope that you have someone or something that saves you from your chaos – even if that is you yourself. A safe harbour where you can weather any storm and gather strength to face new challenges ahead – be that in business or in your personal life. Happy Monday people!
