This week I’m going to try a slightly different approach to things.

See, I’ve been feeling slightly overwhelmed lately with all the ideas I have swimming around in my head of what I want to achieve with this blog and my shop. There’s just so much to do on top of my mummy-and-wife-responsibilities that sometimes I honestly don’t know where to start.

I was watching this live webinar from Melyssa Griffin this week (if you have a small business, you should totally check her out) and felt so inspired, but now to find the time to put her awesome tips into action – phew.

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

Insert the thought for this week. I stumbled across this quote by Benjamin Franklin in my Pinterest travels and can’t help to see the truth in it. I want to try to get some more planning into this blog and business (and by that I mean, I probably should start by writing some blog posts earlier than the night before they are meant to go live). How nice would it be to be able to map out where I want this to go and therefore have some definite steps to follow toward the end goal – or the interim goal at least. This should then also help with overwhelmed-feeling. One step at a time always seems to be a surefire way out of a situation where you feel like you’re drowning.

Yes - the logical part of my brain definitely agrees with that...the creative part...probably not so much. Click To Tweet

Shout out to some super-organised brides

Another thing that got me thinking more about planning things out this week was an influx of orders for “Save-the-Date”s. Kudos to Anna, Catherine, Aubree, Kelsey, Rachel and Tina all brides getting ahead of the wedding planning game for the Spring 2017 wedding season. Impressive, right?

It makes me so excited to realize that I will have a new meaning to seasons in my future now. Gone are the days of just Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, now I get to add wedding seasons too…Woohoo!!! All the more reason to be organised. To make sure I have new designs coming for Spring weddings, Summer organzas and romantic Fall destination weddings. Let the planning begin!
