Hello and happy Monday people!
This week I hatched this idea about growing my happy place. I wanted to make sure that I’m planting the right kind of seeds in the communities around me, that will give me this “blogging/creative/freelance-life” that I have conjured up in that crazy little head of mine.
And while it’s been so overwhelming…I mean, sure, I’m a creative professional, I know my way around various complicated design programs, the internet, know the ins and outs of getting my point heard in important business meetings – and on a Mummy note know how to find Wally like it’s nobody’s business – but this blogging world is something else…
Wow, talk about being thrown back into the deep end. But I’m learning something new every day which is really exciting. So hopefully, I’ll look less like a fumbling mess soon – I hope. Stay with me guys!
Seedling #1 – Instagram
So first of all I tried to focus on getting better on Instagram this week and how to promote and be present there. Consider me totally in love! The creative community in hashtagland is so inspiring and supportive – and vast! Who knew how much there is out there yet to be explored, and what it can add to my happy blog/etsyshop place.
I’ve discovered a few #hashtags that I’m especially excited to learn more about. The #communityovercompetition and #tuesdaystogether from the #risingtidesociety make my creative entrepreneur heart flutter. And who doesn’t want to be a #girlboss?? Did I mention all the tags directly for my ETSY shop?? Absolutely fabulous!
I nerded out a little, when in my highlight for the week, the #girlboss who inspired me to get over my fears and procrastination and finally start this blog/shop with her stories and blog actually started following my instagram feed – #winning. You guys should check out her work, Michelle@Elegance and Enchantment is living the freelance dream and inspires me to grow this business into a career.
So this was step one of how I’m growing my happy place. I’m exploring new worlds I knew next to nothing about – #newbie 😉 and getting so inspired by all these creative, happy bloggers and business owners. And this is seeping into my everyday life as well. The more I immerse myself into creating more designs, being part of peoples happy occasions (lots of golden wedding designs this week) and focusing on building a lifestyle for me and my family the happier I feel myself becoming. So bring it on…grow happy place, grow!
