So first of all, I want to apologize… I’ve been absent from the airways for pretty much 2 weeks and missed my printables post last week – forgive me? Please??…

Site revamp

What you might notice though, is that I wasn’t idle in my time away. Charming Chestnuts’ website has gotten a bit of a facelift. And while I’m still not completely done with all the content updates and new structure, I’m really loving the new look. What do you think? Click through here for a look at the new front page, which – in my opinion is the pièce de ré·sis·tance for the new look.

Charming Chestnuts Home Page

I had been noticing a shift in the focus of Charming Chestnuts in my ETSY store and felt the gap between this blog/website and the store widening – and I really didn’t like it. While the ETSY store is heading in leaps and bounds towards weddings, the website wasn’t really reflecting that. I want to be able to give my customers and readers alike a portal to connect with me and get useful information from my site -> hence the revamp.

So in addition to my printables you might also notice some more posts geared towards your needs in wedding and event stationery coming to this space very soon. I’m really excited about bringing all of Charming Chestnuts together and hope you are too.

Hey, if you have suggestions on post you might like to see please don’t hesitate to use my swanky new contact form and tell me about it 😉

Change brings opportunity

Another exciting new change these past few weeks has been my making at effort in networking with fellow wedding professionals. And wow, what a game changer and eye opener …and so much fun of course! I am lucky to have met some lovely wedding planners, florists, photographers and even a lovely gal who runs a business in English Vintage China Rentals… these ladies do absolutely beautiful work and I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been collaborating on – stay tuned.

I also managed to finally go to a “Tuesdays Together” meeting from the Rising Tide Society. This is a collaboration of creative entrepreneurs who get together in the spirit of “community over competition”. It’s a place – both online and at these monthly meetings – to get encouragement, tips and support in all aspects of running your creative business.

It truly warms my heart to know that groups like this exist and are growing and thriving. Thank you to the founder Natalie Franke for creating this amazing community! And while you’re there check out her absolutely gorgeous new website – LOVE! Shows me that I still have a way to go, but I’m not as far away from it then I was 2 weeks ago…

Happy Monday people!
